Mary Taylor 'Pierre Vidal' Costieres de Nimes 2017 Review

This wine is so on point and representative of the region it’s silly. This blend welcomes you with rich notes of clove, sandalwood and a hint of pepper and pine. Next in line are notes of blackberry compote and a little bit of savory wood smoke. On the palate things get really interesting, with a comfy yogurt-like mouthfeel where all of the savory spiciness join in a bouquet garni of harmony. For under $20 this is the perfect wine to buy a case at a time and have on hand for, well, whatever.
