Langmeil Winery 'The Blacksmith' Cabernet Sauvignon 2019 Review
The name of this wine is a nod to the blacksmith Christian Auricht who settled here in the mid 19th century and founded a trading post for travelers as they passed through the area. He also had a mixed farm on the land where he planted vines in 1843 — and the rest is history. This wine is earthy with dark fruit and slight rhubarb and beetroot notes on the nose. The palate is expertly balanced with soft tannins and amazing acidity giving it great structure.
