Abeja Cabernet Sauvignon 2019
Review
Ken and Ginger Harrison bought the Mill Creek road property at the start of the new millennium. After years of disrepair and changing hands, the Harrisons took over the land to plant Cabernet Sauvignon. This is a quintessential American wine story. Winemakers Daniel Wampfler and Amy Alvarez-Wampfler, who also work with Kyle Maclachlan at Pursued By Bear, are on board to help coax the best out of the grapes. And this wine really shows the Harrisions' commitment to this variety. There’s a brightness to the nose, the fruit is buoyant yet still grounded with welcome earthy tones. The balance on the palate is wonderful with mild fruit, well integrated tannins, and a lingering finish.
