Lafond Winery 'Lafond Vineyard' Chardonnay 2016 Review

When the alcohol of a wine goes above 14% the boozy factor increases, leaving other aromas and characteristics wanting more face time with your mouth. When we get to 14.6% a wine becomes an acquired taste, so if this is you jam then this wine will be your jam, with notes of banana, vanilla and oak wood dominated by what I can only describe as vodka. After a few glasses of this you’ll be quite loose, making this not a wine to pair with food, but one to just hang out, enjoy and let those cheeks get rosy.
