Kosta Browne One-Sixteen Russian River Valley Chardonnay 2022 Review
When wines get upwards of 14 percent ABV, they can feel overly sweet and oaked out. But with a skilled hand, a higher ABV Chardonnay can not only be balanced, but also deeply complex — like this example from Kosta Browne. The nose is toasty but overbearing, allowing hints of honeysuckle and butter to seep through. The mouthfeel is broad with a slight grip around the edges and a lingering even finish.
