Flora Springs Napa Valley Merlot 2018
Review
I really wish this wine had lower alcohol, because I like what’s going on underneath the slight heat that's just hovering over the enjoyable round, medium body with classic varietal-driven plum fruit and hints of blueberry and vanilla, even a little bit of cinnamon and baking chocolate. All these things are why Merlot is great by itself in Cali when taken care of. If the heat was just a little bit lower (13.5% maybe) this wine would burst with aromas. This is a good wine though for people that like higher alcohol, diggin on that perception of sweetness (alcohol was once sugar, ya know). They would love this with a meal or backyard grill.
