Field Recordings 'Fiction' Red 2022 Review
Just outside of downtown Paso Robles is Tin City, an old warehouse district turned into tasting rooms and restaurants that invites you to walk around and explore the local products. It houses some of the best examples of Paso Robles wine, including Field Recordings. This winery is a celebration of diversity in grapes, sourcing uncommon varieties from unique sites across California's Central Coast. The wines are approachable and awesome, like this juicy and balanced red made from a blend of eight different grape varieties. Aromas of blueberry pie, raspberries, and chocolate-covered cherries float out of the glass and the palate brings more of that concentrated fruit, but with a firm tannic structure. This is the definition of a burger-munching wine and you should definitely bring it to your next cookout.
