Evan Williams Bottled-in-Bond Review

OK, we're in the sub-$20 category, and actually flying a lot closer to 15 bucks a bottle, so you might expect this to be cheap and cheerful and the kind of bourbon that should be reserved for well pours and cocktails only? You'd be wrong. While its 100 proof makes Evan Williams Bottled-in-Bond robust enough for classics like the Old Fashioned, this whiskey offers tons of character, from the crack of pepper on the nose to a distinctly sweet and fruity palate. This isn't the bottle you pull off your shelf to impress friends but that doesn't mean it's lacking individual charm or appeal — and you certainly can't argue with the price!

Evan Williams Bottled-in-Bond Pros And Cons

Pros
  • Holds its own in cocktails
  • Offers a decent amount of character
  • Very affordable and widely available
Cons
  • Not a bottle that will impress your whiskey-loving friends
  • May be too high in alcohol for some
