Frey Ranch Distillery Farm Strength Uncut (Batch 10) Review

As long-time fans of Frey Ranch, VinePair named the distillery our spirits brand of the year in 2023. This cask-strength, farm-to-glass bourbon represents another resounding success from the brand, arriving at 61.14 percent ABV, with a distinctively grain-forward profile. That combination doesn't seem like it will work, and it is a slow burner at first. But with time in glass, and upon reflection, it’s apparent that this is the whole point of this bourbon: elevating and highlighting its base ingredients and steering well clear of the beaten path of oak sweetness. It's challenging at first, but the experience proves rewarding, especially with a few drops of water.
