Early Mountain Eluvium 2017 Review

Thomas Jefferson would be very satisfied with swirling and sipping this wine. It is a wonderful example of how sound wines can be from the commonwealth of Virginia. This wine has such nice balance, with a soft fruit core and excellent acidity, lifting the wine on the palate in all the right places. It smells blackberries right off the vine, fresh soil, and an autumn evening in the Shenandoah. It’s a wine that will age, but is drinking well now. Bring out the quality cuts for this bottle, like succulent venison loin quality.
