Darioush Signature Cabernet Sauvignon 2019
Review
Darioush and Shahpar Khaledi founded their winery in 1997. They came to the U.S. with the American dream top of their minds, building a thriving grocery business. With a wine background from his father’s winemaking in Shiraz and Shahpar’s skill at Taarof, the Persian art of social etiquette, they created a special place in Napa Valley. Today they focus on the cooler climates of Napa Valley and it shows in this wine. The nose is balanced and inviting showing classic concentrated blackberry fruit and peppery notes flitting about. The palate is extremely balanced with just the right combination of fruit and tannin. It’s powerful but elegant. It is drinking well now but will only improve. What a great Napa Cab.
