Chateau Montelena Chardonnay 2016 Review
An American Chardonnay done so right, with mineral-driven notes fresh melon and apples combined with honeysuckle. There are also deep, warm aromas of baking spices with nutmeg taking the lead followed by a hint of jasmine. The palate is warm and thought-provoking, yet refreshing, with a soft, salty creaminess heightening the well-integrated, comfy toasty-ness from oak. This wine is a beautiful example of power and balance; the American way.
