Master of Wine Jancis Robinson says, "Nicolás Catena Zapata is justly credited with putting Argentinean wines on the world map.” The family presence on our market is undeniable with their long line of wines. This bottle is at the top of that line. If you are looking for the more intense side of Malbec, this is all you need. It is bold and rich with dark berry fruit, oak, and vanilla. The palate is huge. The tannins are firm, it has a hefty weight and a lingering finish. There is not much else other than a big thick steak that would jive with this behemoth with balance.
