Cascade Moon 13 Year Old Rye Whisky Review
This 13-year-old rye serves as an experimental, limited-edition series of whiskies from George Dickel under the larger Cascade Hollow Distilling Co. umbrella. Aged for four years in Indiana before being transported to Tennessee to spend the remaining nine years barrel aging, Cascade Moon's 13-Year-Old Rye delivers an interesting exploration into aromas and flavors that come with maturation. With notes of dried fruit, nuts, and cacao nibs on the nose, the palate displays a bright and youthful profile despite its age with essences of spice and cherry on a long finish.
