Bodega Monteviejo 'Petite Fleur' Malbec 2015 Review
The label says Petit Fleur but this wine is anything but petit. It’s a good example of how powerful a wine made from this grape can be and at the same time how much just the right amount of restraint can focus that power into a soulful, deep, well structured wine. Full bodied and filled with well-woven tannin and generous acidity, this age worthy wine has aromas of blackberry, cooked meat, balsamic and a dollop of soil that wants to evolve into forest floor (imagine a forest in October). At just over $20 this is a great wine to grab a case of and watch age.
