Bertani Amarone della Valpolicella Classico DOCG 2008 Review
The palate is like crushed velvet sipped an espresso. The deep mocha is balanced by excellent acidity, promoting smells of some juicy blackberry and sweet, aged balsamic vinegar. It has been sitting in the bottle since 2008, and has aged wonderfully. Make sure you go big with this. I’m saying marbled steaks all day, creamed spinach, broccoli rabe, mashed potatoes, the works. This is an awesome example of the legacy of this style of wine. It’s worth every penny.
