Bernhard Ott 'Am Berg' Grüner Veltliner 2022 Review
Coming from the Wagram sub-region of Lower Austria is this extremely refreshing Grüner. Fourth-generation winemaker Bernhard Ott has managed the winery since 1993, but his family has been in the business since 1889. He has made some changes since his father’s days, using only stainless steel tanks for aging and converting the family's vineyards to biodynamic agriculture. This wine has a refreshing babbling-brook minerality with notes of lemon, pepper, and a touch of cream on the nose. Citrusy and subtle herbs fill the palate with round, juicy fruit and lively acidity. This wine is a great way to impress at a dinner party.
