BenRiach The Smoky Twelve Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky Review
From Speyside, this 12-year-old single malt combines multiple components into harmonious, enjoyable sips. Made using peated and unpeated distillates, the whisky matures in former bourbon, sherry, and Marsala wine casks. Its namesake smoky profile arrives like a spray of perfume — not so overpowering that you can’t appreciate the red currant and spice notes, and the influence of multiple oak vessels. Despite its relative youth, this single malt has tons of personality to enjoy.
