Bedell Cellars Merlot 2020 Review
Bedell has been at the forefront of modern American wine since the North Fork of Long Island became an AVA in 1985. Actually, their head winemaker Richard Olsen-Harbich was instrumental in making that happen. Kip Bedell, the winery's founder, was known as Mr. Merlot, and for good reason. This wine has nice pops of bright berry fruit with a whisper of earthy cinnamon. The palate is soft with plush fruit and good acidity giving a medium depth. Keep this one on hand for when you need a great food-friendly wine that can match an array of different dishes.
