Alta Vista Estate Malbec 2017 Review

All we ask of affordable Malbec is a little bit of balance. We don’t ask for much, not even complexity, just some separation of character. It’s hard to find that at the under $20 price point but here we have one that answers our call. This Malbec is $17 and great for the price. It has ripe red fruit on the nose with a hint of herbs (cannabis), the acidity is bright and lively, amplifying the fruit notes, and the tannin is woven in nice and tight. Whoever brings this to their next get together will be the star of the gathering.
