The Story Behind The Sparkling Strawberry Lemonade

While I love heading to the farmers market at all times of the year, it’s when spring finally begins to turn into summer that I find the most delicious ingredients to inspire my cocktail creations. On my trip to the market this past weekend, I came across the most beautiful strawberries I have ever seen and just knew they’d be perfect in a cocktail. In search of what to combine these beauties with, I came across a delicious natural lemonade and immediately knew the two ingredients would be perfect together.

With my market purchases in hand I made my way home and raided the cabinet for a bottle of vodka, adding booze to my concoction while ensuring that the natural flavors from the strawberries and lemonade were still very present in the drink. There was some chopping, shaking and sampling before I added the finishing touch of sparkling wine to elevate this cocktail to the next level. The result is a perfect cocktail to serve to friends as the days and nights start heating up. Cheers!
