The Story Behind The Nutty Screwdriver
The Screwdriver is one of the most basic cocktails in any bartender’s repertoire. In fact, some professionals don’t actually count it as a cocktail, saying it contains too few essential ingredients.
I’ve created an elevated version with Amaretto and lime juice. The Amaretto brings a wonderfully nutty flavor profile as well as considerable sweetness. The lime juice helps keep that in check. Its slight acidity and wonderfully sour palate cut through the sugar.
