The Story Behind The Hot Spiced Cider

During the holiday season, it’s hard to find a more classic drink than a Hot Spiced Cider. Developed by Fredy Cruz of the Sanderling Resort in Duck, N.C., this tasty version is a simple combination of cinnamon-infused brandy and the requisite apple cider. Served hot, this holiday sipper is sure to warm you up from the inside out on the season’s chilliest nights.

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ ounces cinnamon-infused brandy
  • 4 ounces apple cider
  • Garnish: apple wedge

Directions

  1. In a pot, add all ingredients and heat until near boiling.
  2. Pour heated mixture into an Irish Coffee mug and garnish with an apple wedge.
