Widow Jane Oak & Apple Wood Aged Rye Review
Though the whiskey is sourced for this release, Brooklyn’s Widow Jane adds a proprietary spin by introducing applewood staves into the barrels during maturation. The finished spirit is cut to proof using limestone water pulled from New York's Rosendale Mines, adding further Empire State character. Rye-forward aromas are complemented by a hint of cornbread, while the palate delivers sweetness and spice, with a bitter dark chocolate finish.
