Wente Vineyards Riva Ranch Pinot Noir 2016 Review
With jacked up alcohol compromising the balance this is sort of an intro to the grape for palates that dig higher concentration wines. There is balance here but it is thin with notes of cherry cola and wet leaves doused with vanilla. The heat from the alcohol is more pronounced on the palate, pruning out the fruit and washing the complexity clean, making this a fine wine for parties where wine is not the focus.
