Vie Di Romans "Piere" Sauvignon Blanc 2016 Review
I must confess that I love wines from French varieties in Friuli more than most in the world, even France. This single vineyard wine exemplifies my love and sends a message to other winemakers out there; watch this! Do this! I could write a few pages about this winemaker and their wines and how much I love all of them but I will restrain myself as I seriously consider whether I should share this wine. Epic and balanced to perfection, the classic capsicum is there to meet you when you arrive, followed by ripe white peach and the concentrated citrus of mandarin orange leading to savory aromas of sage and coriander flecked with white pepper. There is even more, but you need to just go and buy this $38 bottle of white wine and thank me for it later.
