Tenuta Villa Rosa 'Ribaldoni' 2016 Review
Giulio Gambelli, a friend of the Bandini family, original owners of the winery, would often say, “A Villa Rosa il Sangiovese ci nasce bene!” Translated, the phrase means “At Villa Rosa, the Sangiovese grows well!” He was referring specifically to these vines in this sub-zone of Chianti Classico, Castellina in Chianti. And he was right! This wine is soft with tight fruit and a nice hit of heat from the alcohol. The palate is full of depth with good acidity to balance keeping the wine vibrant.
