Deceptively complex, this wine is dense and flavorful, though it takes some effort to pull nuances out. Aromas of blackberry and black cherry mix with notes of violets, dark chocolate, caramel, and ground coffee. Sweet fruit leads on the full palate, zipped up by solid tannic structure and acidity, along with accents of tobacco and spice.
