St. Amant Zinfandel Reserve 2024 Review

Centenarian, own-rooted vines, thriving in sandy soils, are what Stuart Spencer stewards, as his parents, Tim and Barbara Spencer, did before him. This wine is a small-plot expression of Zinfandel's Lodi terroir, sourced from the sustainably farmed, head-trained vines of Marian’s Vineyard, which was planted in 1901. The wine offers an earthy nose with notes of mixed berries, sage, and coffee brewing in the distance. The palate is so well balanced, and easy-drinking, with a savory vibe and soft, deep fruit.
