Smooth Ambler Old Scout 7 Year Old Straight Bourbon Whiskey Review
With a truly left-field profile, this bourbon grabs the attention. The rye that makes up 36 percent of the mash bill is surely partly to blame for that, with spice, cherry, apple, and cigar box notes prominent throughout. Smooth Ambler is very transparent about the fact that it sources bourbon that it deems to be remarkable. (It also openly offers the origin: Indiana.)
