Slate Theory Winery Nebbiolo Rosé 2022 Review

Slate Theory Winery seems to be all in their heads. Literally. The company’s philosophy is centered around, well, philosophy. With a Jung quote on their website and full incorporation of Rorschach on their labels. They also make a good amount of wine. The Nebbiolo grape is not often seen in the U.S. and definitely not in Texas. And in rosé form nonetheless. Well, we're here for it. The nose is undeniably Nebbs (my pet name for my favorite grape on planet Earth) with a signature note of rose petals on the nose with an added awesome hint of wild strawberries and raspberries. On the palate, another world opens up with juicy watermelon, rose water, and a slight hint of candied cherries. There is a lot going on here. It’s juicy and balanced with great mild acidity. If you’re still not convinced Texas can do wine, seek this bottle out.
