Sequoia Grove Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2016 Review
Sequoia Grove popped up in 1979 right at the height of Napa popularity a year before it gained its AVA. The structure of this wine defines what the 80’s were all about in this region (Rutherford specifically) with rich dark blackberry and cherry fruit and soft, deep vanilla notes coming from the core of the wine. But this wine also stands out a bit from that decade and gives us some spice notes that are not often found. In addition to the classic characteristics of this style of wine you will enjoy baking spices like cinnamon and cracked black pepper with a skosh of nutmeg. It is a great wine to gift to the Napa lover in your life.
