Sarah's Vineyard Estate Chardonnay 2020
Review
Marilyn “Sarah” Otteman plunged Chardonnay vines into seven acres she bought in 1977. Within the year she had a winery that gained popularity due in the central coast wine scene due to her attention to detail and style. She sold her winery in 2001 to former DJ and micro machinist Tim Slater who is still there to this day. His ability to modernize the operations while staying true to Marylin’s legacy comes through in this estate Chardonnay. Soft, sweet oak notes on the nose with a dollop of vanilla does not overwhelm. The mouthfeel is calm with medium acidity allowing the depth to shine and leave a lasting fish. Wonderful wine.
