Rye & Sons Straight Rye Whiskey (2024 Vintage) Review
Typically, when a whiskey is priced this reasonably, the offering is packaged with a minimal proof and flavor profile. Not here with this rye from celebrated sommelier, winemaker, and restaurateur André Mack’s brand. Distilled at Castle & Key and bottled by Pinhook Bourbon (more on both, in a sec), this 97.5 proof, high-rye offering gives notes of stone fruit, peppermint, anise seed, allspice, with a peppery finish.
