Russell's Reserve Kentucky Straight Rye Single Barrel Review
Arriving at 104 proof, this bottle packs a little more punch and has a fuller flavor profile than Russell Reserve's 6-year-old rye, which is bottled at 90 proof. With a relatively low proportion of rye in the mash bill, this single barrel whiskey serves sweet and spicy notes, with an overall fruit-forward profile. This is a quality intro to rye for dedicated bourbon drinkers.
