Rochioli Estate Russian River Valley Pinot Noir 2015 Review

In the states we enjoy a wide spectrum of Pinot Noir as this grape continues to be hella popular. This wine is in the big and bold spot of that spectrum. This Pinot leads with the heat from the alcohol which influences the aromas that follow. Cherry liqueur and cranberry notes come next, followed by some herbal notes that cannot be honed in with all of these characteristics living under the haze of 14.5% alcohol. It will age for a while, but this is not a wine of nuance and may not merit the ageing.
