Rocca di Montegrossi Chianti Classico DOCG 2020 Review
Rocca means fortress in Italian and the Rocca di Montegrossi has seen plenty of Chianti history. It is an estate connected to some of the most famous names in the region as well as key players in securing the Classico zone. Located deep in Classico in the commune of Gailoe the family descendants carry on the winemaking tradition of this old fortress. This is a Classico with depth. It’s inviting with heady cranberry notes and has a soft velvet palate with an added pleasant profile of herbs that complement the fruit. A wonderful wine.
