Wente Vineyards ‘Riva Ranch’ Chardonnay 2016 Review
This is a classic style of California Chardonnay: oaked, but not too oaky; buttery but not sticky; fruit-forward but not cloying. Aromas include baked apples and a hint of jasmine flower. Flavors include buttery apple pie that fades into a savory, palate-coating texture, then a crisp, clean finish. This is an excellent alternative to higher priced Napa Valley Chardonnay.
