This is an expressive, nuanced Cabernet from a single vineyard parcel located in Chile's Maipo Valley. It's a medium-dark garnet color, with aromas that include fresh blackberries, blackcurrants, allspice, and hint of fresh mint. The texture is very structured, with silky tannins and a long, complex finish. It's both playful and brooding, and can be enjoyed on its own or with a dry-aged steak. It's a $20 Cabernet that tastes like it could cost a lot more. If you're into Cabernet and looking for a great quality wine with a price tag that's lower than similar-quality Napa Cabs, give this a try.
