Illahe Pinot Gris 2017 Review
This small winery’s Pinot Gris has a lot of weight and complex flavors. It’s a very light golden color, and has enticing aromas of Williams pears, green apples, white peaches, and gingerbread. Flavors include poached pear and allspice. The mouthfeel is weighty and textured, but fresh and lively. It’s technically a dry wine but is fruity and a little creamy. It’s like a Pinot Gris from Alsace, but with more fruit. Pair it with Thai dishes.
