Peju Province Winery Cabernet Franc 2016 Review

This is a huge wine. I am not sure it smells or tastes like a Cab Franc. There is a big void where the inherent peppery notes should be, covered by oak and alcohol. There is a smooth quality to the wine due to it’s smack of sweetness (alcohol was once sugar, so it can add to perceived sweetness). This is a wine for the palate that craves big, bold, and boozy. It can hold up to BBQ, and a big ol’ steak, just stay hydrated.
