Pax Wines Alder Springs Vineyard Chenin Blanc 2023 Review
In northern California's Mendocino county lies the iconic Alder Springs Vineyard. It is known for its rows of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Syrah. But there are a few tucked-away plots of Chenin Blanc that thrive in this climate, staring down at the town of Laytonville. Pax takes full advantage of this amazing fruit with this rich expression of Chenin Blanc. Aromas of ginger, caramel, white pepper, and honeysuckle float out of the glass. The wine is soft on the palate, with exceptional balance between fruit and acidity.
