Overshine Wine Co. Las Cimas Ranch Zinfandel 2023 Review
David Drummond and Sam Bilbro have come together to create Overshine, a wine label focused on site-expressive wines. This Las Cimas Zin comes from the Russian River Valley, grown in sandstone soils, resulting in a focused, well-structured wine. It shows bramble fruit and pepper on the nose, with additional notes of soil and aged balsamic. The mouthfeel is wonderful, with a firm tannic edge running through the wine's core and contrasting the rich, concentrated fruit. This is a structured, textured Zinfandel that will age well.
