Nikolaihof ‘Zwickl' Wachau Grüner Veltliner 2022 Review

This historic winery has been here in the Wachau of Austria since the Romans, and the Saah family purchased it in the late 19th century. They have been farming it ever since, introducing vineyards and winemaking in the 1960s. It has been an organic farm since day one — and this wine is certified biodynamic. The aromas on the nose are most like butter with hints of sage. The palate is dry and even with good concentrated fruit depth and good supporting acidity. It's age-worthy, but if you decide to enjoy it now, its wonderfully food-friendly as well.
