Mt. Brave Merlot Review
Winemaker Chris Carpenter is forming a relationship with a mountain. His Mt. Brave project focuses on bringing the best out of Mount Veeder in Napa Valley. Up where the air is rare and the sun is plentiful, even the softest of grapes result in big wines; the Mt. Brave Merlot is one of them. Quite deep and plush fruit balance a good dollop of alcohol. That slight heat is balanced by decent mountain-fruit acidty. This is a Merlot for the Cab drinker.
