Mossburn Speyside Blended Malt Scotch Whisky Review
This Speyside blend of single malts utilizes an interesting and innovative barrel regime, the full specifics of which are highlighted on the bottle's label. Most notable of all is a second maturation period, which takes place in Oloroso sherry casks topped with charred new American oak heads. It's no surprise, then, that oak notes define nose, palate, and finish, but don’t worry about any lack of intense fruit character.
