Montinore L'Orange 2017 Review

Montinore has always been one of the best low priced quality Pinot Noir producers in all of Oregon. They have since expanded into biodynamic agriculture and now “orange” wine (I like to call it amber wine, because it’s sexier). This white wine that has seen some skin contact (the Muscat was aged in amphorae) is a great example of how the US makes this ancient style. This is not and easy wine to find and the price is not as affordable as their other bottlings, but the wine is definitely worth a try with a wollop of tropical fruits and orange blossom hinting towards a little bit of sage and baking spices rounded off with a drop of honeysuckle and a dry finish.
