Miraflores Estate Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve 2019
Review
Miraflores was founded in the late '90s and employed Marco Cappelli, a mentee of one of the most influential winemakers in the U.S. wine history André Tchelistcheff. Marco takes an old world approach to wine, having worked in France and Italy. Today he is paying it forward to his protégée Fernando Abarca as they continue to produce award winning wine. And this wine is definitely winning. It benefits from good elevation with bright fruit flecked with hints of pepper. On the palate there is a sense of leanness, but that’s a good thing. It fills out with soft fruit from the center of the wine as it’s framed by quiet, but present, tannins.
