Mauritson Wines Grower's Reserve Zinfandel 2023 Review
The Mauritson family has been farming grapes in Sonoma’s Dry Creek Valley for six generations, reaching back to 1868. For the Grower’s Reserve Zinfandel, winemaker Emma Swain and owner Clay Mauritson choose the best barrels for this small-production wine as a tribute to past generations. It has a savory nose of briny olives and cracked black peppercorns, with bright notes of stone fruit and raspberries. The mouthfeel is balanced and calm, with beautiful fruit depth and supportive acidity.
