Mars The Y.A. #01 Review
Aged in bourbon casks, this expression from Mars’ new “Y.A.” series seeks to showcase pure malts aged on Japan’s Yakushima Island. The influence shines through in the whisky’s notes of seawater and tropical fruits. With an ABV of 52 percent, aromas and flavors of cedar wood, licorice, and slightly smoky leather are concentrated and are further brought to life by the addition of a few drops of water.
